Your must ensure that products / service / processes not conforming to requirements / plans are suitably identified (where applicable) and controlled to prevent mis-use.
There are a number of ways you could deal with these issues (forget the term non conforming product unless you actually manufacture something):

  • take action to eliminate the issue (eg quarantine it)
  • inform the customer
  • authorise its use by way of a concession by relevant authority and where applicable the customer.
  • taking action to preclude its original intended use.

Records of such problems and subsequent actions shall be maintained.
